Amy started in music and entertainment when her sister's would make her perform the Salem cigarette commercial at the age of 6 or 7 – don't even ask – and the 4 of them all singing and harmonizing for as long as can be remembered. Choir and Drama Club covering musicals and such. Acoustic guitar for Church event (she is now a recovering Catholic) and summer camp – discovering the likes and becoming heavily influenced by Carly Simon, Joni Mitchell, Carol King, Phoebe Snow and the like – as well as the first bar band that paid – with a fake ID and a lot of ambition! Rampage – a mix of top 40 and Rock of the time – Heart, Pat Benatar, Cars, Led Zeppelin et al. Rolling that into a change of pace called Old # 7 (which is her drink of choice – on the rocks please) covered country, blues and bluegrass. Classical voice training that lasted for several years into college and marriage – 2nd soprano in an Episcopal Choir – several competitions throughout the Tri-State area. A break from band life to raise a daughter (with a great set of pipes and who plays violin – electric and acoustic) Started singing cabaret with with several extraordinary musicians whenever possible – with a few interesting appearances at venues such as the House of Blues in NC and the Waldorf Astoria in NYC. Persona Non Gr ata came through “The Studio” in NYC playing at the Bitter End with an interesting mix of obscure songs by well known artists. Continuing cabaret and finding the great group of musicians that formed Off The Record, and now morphing into the dynamic duo with John D'Esposito – par excellence on keyboard – Sax AND flute - Amy has no plans to stop singing, performing and entertaining – it’s pumping through the veins.
